Haszari joins the Newclear Music’s “Atomix” series with a deep, thumping, techy selection that has an easy flow. Lose yourself in the acid-house laced techno sprinkled with sunny barbecue vibes.
The latest EP out on Newclear Music sees the first release by Soul Science as title artists on this label, after numerous appearances in remix capacity.
Soul Science kick off the proceedings with their lush, feel-good take on the original dub-wise DNB number. Auckland’s Sentient makes his first appearance for Newclear, and delivers a dark and heavy version, ready to obliterate anything in its path. Juan Tellez, an up’n’coming talent in techno circles (also new to Newclear!) drops a deep, minimal, thumping reinterpretation. Old friend Nikolozi returns with a synth-heavy tribal house remix… and as usual, nsu rounds off the release with a reggae-dubstep cut, flavoured with hints of old-skool rave.

The latest release on Newclear Music is also the first official release by Auckland’s Squeezer – a 5-track multi-genre remix EP of their 2008 chill-out number “Pure Juiceâ€, written and performed by Karl Howe and David Czepanski.
First up is Squeezer’s own TSV Mix, a pumping, uplifting rework of the original. It is followed-up by newcomer Will Marshall, and his extension of the downbeat/chill-out theme, with a hint of breaks. Next on the line up is Dunedin man Haszari, whose remix simply had to be pigeon-holed and it was decided that it was none other than “back room summer jandal acid discoâ€. Then, Soul Science return again for Newclear and head straight for a dancefloor assault with a slamming drum & bass cut. Finally, nsu dives into experimental territory and delivers a dark mix infused with elements of ambient, dubstep, garage and jungle.
The original version of “Pure Juiceâ€, which is not on this release, can be heard here.

The follow up to the “Panic Bells” remix single is “Upside Down”, which brings a superb pair of mixes of the nsu original from the “Escape” EP (featuring US rapper JR Trap) by two rising star producers, combining together to make for a real dance-floor assault. The first cut sees Sydney-based Nikolozi bring forth some heavy gut-busting tribal-techno, which is followed up by the return of Auckland DJ and producer AP3X (of Audio Damage) serving up a slice of pounding breakbeat.
“Upside Down” is taken from the “Escape” EP (NCMR002EP), out now.

Next in line as free digital downloads from newclear are two uplifting pieces – Track number one is Squeezer Project‘s electro-break-funk treatment of nsu’s signature epic number, “The Last Sunrise”. This is followed by a house rework of “Spiritual Adrenalin” – a slick club cut, courtesy of the talented James Lee.
Stay tuned for more remixes and originals making an appearance in the next couple of months – as free downloads, of course!
