Positive Vibes – Remixes

The latest EP out on Newclear Music sees the first release by Soul Science as title artists on this label, after numerous appearances in remix capacity.

Soul Science kick off the proceedings with their lush, feel-good take on the original dub-wise DNB number. Auckland’s Sentient makes his first appearance for Newclear, and delivers a dark and heavy version, ready to obliterate anything in its path. Juan Tellez, an up’n’coming talent in techno circles (also new to Newclear!) drops a deep, minimal, thumping reinterpretation. Old friend Nikolozi returns with a synth-heavy tribal house remix… and as usual, nsu rounds off the release with a reggae-dubstep cut, flavoured with hints of old-skool rave.

The EP is available now in digital format from Beatport, iTunes, JunoDownload, Traxsource, the Newclear Bandcamp Store, and the Spotify streaming service.

Meatgrinder – Remixes

The first Newclear Music release in 2013 has been a long time coming – we are proud to present the new collection of remixes of “Meatgrinder” by Norway’s bass and breaks producer Roadkill.

First up is the original version by Roadkill – a combination of smashing breakbeats and old-skool synths. Continuing the breakbeat rave theme is The Supersonic Army, straight from the Northwest of England, bringing a wall of bass, with all guns blazing. As always, Soul Science are here to deliver the drum & bass incarnation of the tune. The final track sees nsu fusing the original rave theme with a bass concept.

The EP is available now in digital (mp3) format from Bandcamp, Beatport, Apple iTunes and JunoDownload.com, as well as the Spotify streaming service.

The Last Sunrise - Remixes

The Last Sunrise – Remixes

The latest offering on Newclear Music is a long-anticipated collection of remixes of “The Last Sunrise”, a signature tune from nsu, in collaboration with Squeezer.

Opening the curtains is the long-time favourite from nsu‘s live set, the Immortal Mix – a fusion of dubstep rhythms, uplifting strings, and live electronica vibes. Next up is a newcomer to the Newclear team, Virus from Novi Sad in Serbia, whose remix blends funky breakbeats with a sliced-up melody from the original. Nort is on deck again, and locks an infectious groove with the original theme, for a driving tech number that is set to move all dance-floors under the sky. Newclear favourites Soul Science return yet again, this time with a lush, deep liquid cut, with only traces of the original present. Taking the EP into a distant dimension is Stray Theories, who uses original elements to reconstruct an ethereal ambient experience. And finally, closing out the remix EP is Squeezer‘s latest energetic re-interpretation of the tune that has been evolving through stages since 2001.

The EP is available now in digital (mp3) format from Bandcamp, Apple iTunes, JunoDownload.com, AmazonMP3 as well as from the Spotify streaming service.

Higher – Remixes

A long time coming, Newclear Music is proud to finally bring you one of the finest ever pieces by Micah D. Wolfe (aka Stray Theories, based out of South Island, NZ) – the ultimate uplifting drum’n’bass cut, “Higher”.

Opening the release is the original rush-inducing Stray Theories version. Then, Soul Science are back again and this time take us for a spin into nu-skool jungle territory but still keeping with their signature liquid flavour. Following up is Melbourne-based Cantabrian Nort, who contributes a thumping, techy rinse-out. Rounding off the EP, nsu again leans to the experimental side and drops a soaring track referencing dub, jungle, dubstep, and live electronica – a number that heavily features in his live sets.

The EP is available now in digital (mp3) format from Bandcamp, Apple iTunes, JunoDownload.com, AmazonMP3 as well as from the Spotify streaming service.

nsu – Panic Bells – Remixes

Panic Bells – Remixes

The first release of 2010 for nsu is the “Panic Bells” remix single, which comes with a pair of quality cuts by two of Auckland’s most rated producers. First up is a dark, grimey and percussive dubstep mix courtesy of AP3X, while on the flip-side, Bromide Dub delivers his so-called signature “menace-funk” rework, rinsing several key elements from the original version.

The single release is accompanied by the “Panic Bells” music video, directed by Aleksandar Janev (see here for premiere night in Auckland!).

The remix single is available now in digital format from Bandcamp, Beatport, iTunes, and JunoDownload.com.

“Panic Bells” is taken from the “Escape” EP (NCMR002EP), out now.
